THF Summer Leadership Program (SLP)
THF offers students a Summer Leadership Program (SLP) in the spring of each year. Our SLP offers students a sneak peek into our firm and into the world of public accounting. Over the course of two days, you will experience our firm culture and values that count first-hand. Our program will include interactive exercises to help develop your leadership skills and learn more about public accounting, all while exploring career opportunities at THF. You will also have the opportunity to network with other student leaders, as well as THF professionals from the staff to the shareholder level. In addition, students will be given the opportunity to shadow both audit and tax professionals in our office.
THF’s SLP is a competitive program with limited spots. We will be recruiting for the SLP at select campuses during the fall and spring semesters. We are already accepting applications. If you are interested, email your resume to SLP@thf-cpa.com.
There is no “required path” for a successful career at THF. Unlike some of the larger firms, we have the flexibility to bring in good talent at any position, regardless if you have gone through our SLP or internship program. For example, you may attend our SLP, and then you may get offered an internship or part-time position. Or, you could come straight into a full-time position, regardless of whether you have attended our SLP or had an internship with us in the past.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Candidates are eligible to join the program during the summers before their junior or senior years
- Have accounting as their major
- Have a major and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Plan to pursue a career in public accounting

Previous SLP Attendee Testimonials
“I enjoyed how easy it was to connect and build relationships with people from all levels of the firm. For me, it is a genuine reflection of the firm’s values being held in each employee.”
“The SLP was very fun, and I feel like I learned a lot about both the firm and about public accounting, in general. In a way, it answered a lot of questions that I didn’t even know how to ask. The shadowing and the guest speakers were my favorite activities.”
“I really enjoyed shadowing both tax and audit. Getting a small glimpse into what work actually looks like for both tax and audit was very interesting and helpful. Also, seeing the things that I have been learning in class being used in the ‘real world’ was very encouraging and cool to see.”
“I really enjoyed the way the SLP was executed. My favorite part was doing the personality test and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each personality. I also thought the audit/tax shadow session was really helpful. It gave me an insight into the day-to-day of someone in each department, which was very interesting.”
