Summer Leadership Program (SLP)
THF hosts a 2-day Summer Leadership Program (SLP) in May or June of each summer. Our SLP brings together a group of rising student leaders who are interested in a career in accounting and provides them the opportunity to get an insider’s perspective on the life of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Over the course of two days, students will participate in engaging experiences where they will dive deeper into the differences between audit and tax services, attend informative seminars, shadow current professionals, participate in team-building activities, and more! In addition, they will see first-hand what makes THF a great place to work and grow professionally!
Eligibility Requirements:
- Candidates are eligible to join the program during the summers before their junior or senior years
- Have accounting as their major
- Have a major and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Plan to pursue a career in public accounting
THF’s Summer Leadership Program is a competitive program with limited spots. We accept resumes on a rolling basis for consideration throughout the year. If you are interested, please email your resume to recruiter@thf-cpa.com.

Previous SLP Attendee Testimonials
“I really enjoyed the SLP because seeing people actually work on the things that I am learning in school helps it seem less intimidating to go out into the workplace. It also helped me gain an insider view on an actual accounting firm, which is much different than I imagined it would be.”
“The SLP was very fun, and I feel like I learned a lot about both the firm and about public accounting, in general. In a way, it answered a lot of questions that I didn’t even know how to ask. The shadowing and the guest speakers were my favorite activities.”
“I really enjoyed shadowing both tax and audit. Getting a small glimpse into what work actually looks like for both tax and audit was very interesting and helpful. Also, seeing the things that I have been learning in class being used in the ‘real world’ was very encouraging and cool to see.”
“The SLP was way more helpful than I would have expected. Between all the activities and the connections made, I was happy with my decision to apply and join. To learn how the atmosphere at this accounting firm has really minimized my doubts and the fears of accounting work for the rest of my life. I appreciate everything THF has done for the students that have not gone far enough for an internship but still want to connect with the students.“
“I really enjoyed the way the SLP was executed. My favorite part was doing the personality test and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each personality. I also thought the audit/tax shadow session was really helpful. It gave me an insight into the day-to-day of someone in each department which was very interesting.”
“I had an amazing experience at SLP, and it answered so many questions that I had about accounting and the difference between audit and tax. I am so thankful for this opportunity.”
