Catherine joined Thomas Howell Ferguson in January 2015, specializing in assurance and accounting services in public accounting. She has served various industries including corporate, governmental, insurance, and not-for-profit organizations. Catherine’s focus has been primarily on the insurance and governmental sectors throughout her career.
Her responsibilities entail engagement planning, fieldwork, internal control testing, and assisting with report preparation. Catherine possesses experience in auditing insurance organizations, conducting financial statement and compliance audits, audits of statutory financial statements, reinsurance accounting, reviews, compilations, designing and implementing control tests for insurance companies, preparing quarterly and annual financial statements based on statutory accounting, internal control evaluation and analysis, agreed-upon procedures, consulting, technical research and documentation of accounting standards, and performing SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 engagements.
