Client Accounting Services (CAS) Bookkeeper – Panama City, FL (Full-Time)

Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs (THF) is a growing, large regional, Top 150 public accounting firm with an ever-expanding reach locally, regionally, statewide, nationally, and internationally. We are currently seeking an individual looking to take that next step in advancing their career path by accepting the engaging and fulfilling role as a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Bookkeeper in our Panama City office. If you enjoy providing bookkeeping consulting services, meeting with clients in-person and/or virtually, working on industry group engagements, and are looking to gain more expertise in a client accounting services specialization, then this is the perfect role for you!

  • Have a high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Have at least 5 years of client accounting services or related experiences
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with a wide range of financial transactions including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Works well independently and in a team environment
  • Willing to assume responsibility for assigned work without undue supervision
  • Highly proficient with Excel
  • Experience with Bill.com, QuickBooks online and Sage preferred

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Communicates with clients and team members to ensure task are completed accurately and timely.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

This is an in-person at the office working role. You’ll find that between our regular team meetings, firm retreats, participation in industry specific events, and our involvement in professional organizations, we are committed to staying connected as a team.
