THF Congratulates Kayla Twogood on Joining the Lee’s Place Board of Directors

THF congratulates Kayla Twogood on joining the Lee’s Place Board of Directors.

Lee’s Place was founded in 2000 after the president Brenda Rabalais lost her son, Lee, to cancer. This organization sets out to provide grief, loss, and trauma counseling to individuals and families that may not otherwise be able to afford it.  The Lee’s Place board members volunteer in many ways to support this organization in serving the needs of the community.  Board members spend hours supporting the operations of Lee’s Place conducting an annual strategic planning session, reviewing fiscal and program activities, reviewing and editing governing documents, staffing fundraisers, representing Lee’s Place at community events.

Kayla, a Colorado native, is a Senior in the Tax Services Department.  She received her bachelor’s degree in administration with a concentration in accounting and her master’s degree in accounting with a specialization in taxation from Colorado State University.  She is a licensed CPA by the state of Colorado and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA).

The mission of Lee’s Place is something that Kayla is very passionate about, and we are excited to see her get involved.

THF congratulates Kayla on her new board position.
